Music is a very important part of the curriculum at Boughton Monchelsea Primary School.
All pupils are taught by a specialist music teacher once a week. The school has a wide range of instruments including - guitars, ukuleles, djembe drums, recorders and ocarinas. Pupils learn to sing, play instruments and compose their own pieces of music.
Our pupils perform regularly both in school, and at local festivals.
There are a variety of clubs available - recorder groups (pupils are currently learning to play tenor, treble and descant recorders), ukulele club, ocarina groups (beginner and advanced) and a school choir which performs regularly in the wider community.
Pupils can also take advantage of private music lessons. We currently have three peripatetic teachers who offer lessons on piano, keyboard, guitar, drums and clarinet. For more information about these tutors and the lessons offered, please download their forms below.
