FAQs

How do I register my child?

Prospective parents may make an appointment to visit the school by telephoning or calling at the school office.   Forms to register an interest in a place at the school are available from the school office and it is a requirement that the child’s date is verified through sight of the birth certificate.   In the January/February prior to the academic year in which the child is due to start school, copies of the Admission Form are available from the school.    Places are allocated based on receipt of these forms, using the criteria laid down by the Local Education Authority.

Do I get priority for admission if my child attends Boughton Monchelsea Playgroup?

No.   All applications are judged on the criteria laid down by the LEA.   Those are family links (an older brother or sister still in school at the time the child is due to start), health grounds and distance from home to school.
